2. How to use the ECG cable
Using an ECG (electrocardiogram) cable involves the following steps:
1. Patient: Ensure the patient is in a comfortable position with the chest and extremities exposed for electrode placement. It is important to follow proper hygiene protocols and clean the patient's skin when necessary.
2. Connect the electrodes: Connect the electrodes to the patient's skin according to the desired lead configuration. Common lead placements include extremity (right arm, left arm, right leg, left leg) and precordial (chest) leads. Follow the manufacturer's instructions or standard lead placement guidelines for accurate ECG recordings.
